New Video! READ FOR UPDATES!

September 29, 2011

Hey guys!

I know I haven’t uploaded a cover in a while but I’m working on it. I’m trying to make a drum tour and sort of like an FAQ type video, hopefully that will tie you over for a little while at least J

This video is the new Studio Diary video (the 3rd). This is just another video showing the fumbles of making videos.

This one is about my choice of places to put my camera. The following is what scrolls by in the beginning;

“Camera placement, as you will see, is a key element in any video production. To close and it looks bad, too far and you can't see anything. So this is showing my effort to make it just right. {NOTE: The audio is so bad because I don't have the mic set up. The only reason I recorded it was to see if the angle looked good.}”

“For this particular clip, my camera is placed on a small tripod, on a shelf, on a wall, oh boy...”

“Yes, I'm in a mechanics jacket. I had just gotten out of school, tech school.”

The fact of the matter is, the place I record my videos is too small to drum and record and still sound good at the same time. I recorded the Metallica video in my garage, now that’s all good and pretty simple to do but I got a laundry list of problems with that;

  1. My neighbors hated me for that.
  2. I have to lug the shit up and down a flight of stairs, (not fun)
  3. The garage is filthy, since that’s where I work on cars.
  4. Winter is approaching fast and my garage is a just wee bit nippy now.
  5. And 20,000,000 other problems I could mention, but I’m not making a bitch-fest vid am I?

I recorded the “Band Cover of Garbage Truck…” “Drum Cover of The End of the Line…” and “Studio Diary #2…” in my garage and it was a bitch to do, so I’m trying to seek alternative methods.

Anyway I write this much so you all know I’m still thinking about this and I haven’t forgotten. Uploads will come, I just don’t know when. So sit tight, enjoy the imaginary popcorn and watch me fuck up the easiest job on video production; camera placement J

Thanks.

Goodnight.

I'm sorry its taken so long to make a cover a song. The truth is i've been trying this entire time to edit it, but I have had lots of trouble. So i'm taking care of the problem by not putting music with it. My covers will be solo from now on.
